TCS is working to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 20% and increase our renewable energy use to at least 20% by 2020. We are increasing recyclability and reducing the impact of our plastic packaging.
Our aim is a low-carbon, environmentally friendly supply chain.
We identify, measure and calculate the activities in our organisation that are responsible for GHG emissions being released into the atmosphere: direct emissions of chemical production and trucking and the indirect emissions of purchased materials, extraction, processing and production and waste recycling.
Using a Life Cycle Assessment tool we report our overall carbon footprint figures annually.
We also source eco-friendly fabrics such as jute, canvas, organic cotton, PET and non-woven PP bags which are 100% recyclable.
Our low carbon strategy and environmental performance reports enable us to stay competitive in today's market.
