
The Challenge
Fallon, one of the UK's leading advertising agencies worked with Orange on the highly successful 'Togetherness, keep it going' campaign of Christmas 2006.
This aimed to push the Orange 'Togetherness' theme in which customers should keep in contact throughout the year rather than just at Christmas and featured a series of wind up toys, developed in collaboration with Aardman Animations.
Following on from this Fallon asked TCS to develop a limited edition wind up toy and phone charm based on these characters that would be available in Orange shops.
The Approach
The original wind up toy model was extremely large so it wasn't practical to send this out to our far eastern supplier so instead our supplier worked from 3D images of the toys to create hand made resin sculpts of the characters.
The client was closely involved with the development of these sculpts at every stage until we had sculpts everyone was happy with.
The supplier then made a tool and went into full production of these lovable toys.
The Outcome
The wind up toys and phone charms were extremely popular and received very positive media and customer attention. To view the original orange advert please Click here
