THE BRIEF
Immediate Media are one of the UK's largest publishers of magazines and creators of Andy's Dinosaur Adventures magazine.
We were tasked with finding more eco alternatives to their current range of covermount toys and packaging by reducing the amount of plastic used.
ECO IMPROVEMENTS
The dinosaur figurine was manufactured from hard-wearing PS with 30% recycled content to ensure a high quality, long lasting product while reducing the amount of virgin plastic needed for manufacture.
Packaging wise, instead of the normal blister the product was placed in a card box (without plastic window) and secured with paper ties. An internal print was also added so the packaging could be used as a backdrop and provides a function rather than just being disposed of after opening.
PRODUCTION
After receiving artwork we handle the rest of the process including quality control (through sample checking and DUPRO/FRI inspections), safety and compliance. We can also provide GRS certification for recycled plastic and FSC for paper and card from sustainable sources.
Finally, we handle freight to deliver the product into the client's UK storage facilities.
